Need some Social Good Inspiration?

The Developer Circles Community Challenge asks you to build software that falls into one of three categories. If you’re interested in building for Social Good, the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals are a great place to start. In fact, Facebook featured several of the SDGs at the 2019 F8 Hackathon.

Albert Chan at Facebook spoke about the SDGs and Lual Mayen in this video. Learn more about Lual’s story “From Refugee to Game Developer.”

WHAT ARE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS?

In September 2015, all 193 member nations of the UN adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), establishing 17 goals as a blueprint to creating a better and more sustainable future. The SDGs are a universal and ambitious call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

Technology--driven by developers like you--will play a key role in achieving the SDGs, in collaboration with governments, companies, and communities all around the world. For some inspiration, please check out the following links:
